Summer camp
Summertime means Adventure Time and our Summer Camp provides your child with the ideal adventure. Each week throughout July and August (6 Weeks Total) we create an experience that ensures your child a week full of FUN, ADVENTURE and CHALLENGE. Since 1936, Greenhill YMCA has been providing Adventure Camps for young people between 6 and 14 years old.

Respite programme with the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust
The aim of the programme is to provide short term overnight breaks for families and carers of children who have a learning disability and display challenging behaviour. Greenhill YMCA offers an area that provides young people with a therapeutic outdoor environment that is safe and secure. Within the extended grounds of the facility the young people will have access to mountain walks, archery, hydro pool as well as trained staff in outdoor pursuits. SETRUST has sole access to a chalet within the grounds for which short breaks can be utilised. As part of a further Service Level Agreement, Greenhill YMCA also ensures that a trained outdoor pursuit’s professional is available to work alongside staff and young people availing of the facility.
This is an excellent opportunity to integrate young people into inclusive productive activities within an environment that is safe and therapeutic. The facilities and environment in Newcastle would reinforce the Positive Behavioural Support Model of Care.
Tuesday and Thursday group
On Tuesdays and Thrusdays Greenhill hosts outdoor activities as a ‘’day opportunity’’ for an amazing group of people with learning difficulties from East Down areas.
