We’re so excited to safely welcome you back to Greenhill!
Our team is working hard to provide quality learning outside the classroom activities.
In the midst of uncertain times, we encourage visitors and the community as a whole to remain active and continue to enjoy the great outdoors. This is vital for physical health and mental wellbeing. It is proven to boost your immune system, help lower stress and offer a form of escape from the stresses of normal life.
While there is no way to completely eliminate the risk of COVID-19; we are committed to remaining diligent in mitigating the known risks while also providing the best experience possible. As recommendations and best practices evolve, so will our protocols.
We are continuing to do our very best to ensure our facilities are a safe place for you to visit. Thank you in advance for working with us to provide the safest experience we can at Greenhill. We encourage you to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Together we can get through this.
How we are making things safer during COVID-19.
During your visit
In order to lower the risk of the transmission of COVID-19, we have adjusted our procedures, policies, and lowered our capacity. We may need to change any or all of these procedures as we adapt to the latest data and guidance from public health officials.
These expectations will be communicated to all participants during the first days of your stay and throughout their time at Greenhill as needed.
Face Coverings
In order to contain possible exposure and spread of COVID-19, Greenhill will be requiring all staff and over 13 years old participants to wear face coverings that cover both the nose and mouth in all indoor settings accessible to the public, in buses and when the two meter distancing rule cannot be upheld.
You don’t have to wear a face covering in a public indoor place if you are under the age of 13.
Sanitization Procedures
While Greenhill YMCA has always employed a high level of cleanliness, we have added extra precautions and a higher frequency. Our cleaning processes follow current Government guidelines.
Handwashing continues to be a very important risk mitigation step as it helps stop the spread of germs. In addition to the lavatory sinks, found in all restrooms around the site, you will find additional handwashing stations throughout Greenhill and hand sanitizer, which will be used when water and soap is not available.
All staff will be equipped with hand sanitizer to encourage frequent use.
Positive COVID-19 Case Protocol
Should a participant or staff member begin to exhibit COVID-19 symptoms, they will be immediately removed from the activities. All areas that were utilized by the group with the symptomatic person will be sanitized. If determined necessary, the participant will be quarantined until a guardian can pick them up, and tested for COVID 19. Similar steps will be taken if a visitor or participant informs us that after leaving Greenhill YMCA they tested positive, volunteers and staff members who were in close contact will get tested.
